General Test Procedure for Verifying Arcabit Package Compatibility with the Host Operating System

The described procedure allows for the automatic verification of the proper functioning of the main protection modules of Arcabit packages while ensuring system stability with active protection modules.

1. Installation of the Test Program

To process the test, you can use an installed version of the package or download the installer from:

https://arcabit.pl/download/arcabitsetup2-lang(en).exe

You can use the following key for installation and testing:

NV9A-3C9X-B29U-5985-VD7V-BYAT-JAKF-5IZ4

(On the English version of the system, the installer should start in English.)

a) After launching the installer, wait until the text „Package version: <current version here>” appears at the bottom of the window, then proceed with the installation.
b) In the „PACKAGE MANAGEMENT” window, leave the „Server address” field blank.
c) After installation is complete, the main program window will open. Click the Update icon (fourth from the left at the bottom), then select Start update. Wait for the update to finish and close the main window.
d) The program is now ready for testing.

2. Automatic Test Procedure for the Package

The standard installation of the package includes a tool (compatv.exe) that automatically tests the stability of protection modules and the system in key protection areas.

compatv.exe is located in the installation folder of the package, typically:

C:\Program Files\Arcabit\bin\compatv.exe

The program should be run with the /t parameter:

C:\Program Files\Arcabit\bin\compatv.exe /t

After launching, compatv.exe will start its own copy from the temporary folder and begin the test procedure (stress test).
During testing, the proper operation of file system drivers and the network layer is verified.

The test procedure is not designed for threat detection but rather for ensuring the stable operation of all program modules under high load.

As a rule, the primary indicator of a successful test is continuous, stable system operation both during and after the test.
